ABC Challenge - B

Hello! Let's continue with my ABC Challenge. Today - letter B. Actually I used two different polishes with letter B today. For this mani, I used Guga's Blueberries and Color Club's Backstage Pass.

I'm actually really disappointed with Color Club's nail polishes. I have read so many positive comments and I decided to buy two collections: Back to Boho and Backstage Pass Collections. In Back to Boho, the nail polish last less than one day with proper base and top coats and in Backstage Pass... Jesus, I don't even know where to start. This Backstage Pass is the worst. The glitters are very large purple and silver hexagons in a clear base. Sounds good, doesn't it? The problem is that the most of the glitters are... curved, like U-shape so it. There's a same problem with another polish from same collection, It's A Hit which is only large purple hexagons in a clear base. I don't think there is anything I can do with this problem... After these two collections, I'm pretty sure I won't buy any Color Clubs again. The quality is just so bad. Such a big disappointment it is. I was so excited when I bought my first Color Clubs. Also in Back to Boho, you need at least 3 layers to cover my nails. Who has time for that?!

Well, at least the top coat which I got when I bought the collections (now I have two of these..) is good.

Does anyone else has problems with Color Clubs or is it only me? Or is it just these two collections which are bad quality?

P.s. Today we're celebrating mid-summer in Finland! It's the nightless night here today (well, I live in south so we have a couple of hours of dusk during the night) and we have another excuse to get drunk.

However, I'm heading to Stockholm, Sweden with my bff today! Let's hope there are some shops open there, I guess Swedes celebrate midsummer as well.

ABC Challenge - A

So, I told you I'm in Finland again with all my nail polishes I missed so much during the last 9 months, but I have a really bad habit always to use the same colors. When I came home I counted my precious babies (aka nail polish bottles). I guess you are curious to know how many do I have? Yep. I have 267 bottles of nail polish. That is SICK, I know. After counting I organised my bottles in alphabetical order and I got an idea. There has been this challenge in several blogs lately: ABC challenge. The rules are simple. First you nail polish which starts with A, then one with B, one with C and so on. Since there are so many bottles without name or only with number, I'll use them after my challenge or I will use them as a second color in my ABC manicures like I did today! I will also try to use different kind of manners to decorate my nails; stamping, glitter, painting, water marbling, skittles, ombre... We will see.

So, let's start! First polish in my ABC challenge is Big Universo's Ácqua. Stampings with Depend's metalic purple, which isn't really good for stamping if you want really strong, metallic result, but for this manicure, it was perfect color! Image plate was Konad's m57.

Sorry about the picture, I took it with my phone, since my camera ran out of battery.

Colorful!

 photo IMG_5331_zpsb28c5667.jpg
Hey! Already the second post in June! I'm making progress! Anyway, like I said in last post, I absolutely love 17's Monochrome. First I wanted to make skittles with stamping, but I was kind of lazy so I ended up to monochrome again. But black and white glitters look amazing with neon colors!

Nail polishes I used:
Wild&Crazy-Lemon
Wild&Crazy-Neon Melon
Wild&Crazy-Orange
Depend- Neon red (I can't read the number anymore)
Model's Own- Purple Passion
17-Monochrome

monochrome

Ladies... My apologies... It's been 3 months again... But now I'm in Finland again (at least until next year) with all my nail polishes and stuff, so now I swear (again, I know...) that I'll post more often. I'll challenge myself (more about this in a couple of days) to make sure that I will post for sure.

Anyway, back to business. I bought kind of a lot nail polishes on my last weeks in Ireland, just because they are cheaper there and because there's better assortment. One of the polishes I bought is 17's Monochrome. Seriously, this polish makes every manicure interesting. It's so easy way to make your nails look fabulous! Another polish I bought is Essence's L.O.L which is really weird green, but I do like it. I'm not a big fan of green nail polish, but I absolutely love this one!

Another thing, as you can see, my cuticles are horrible again. Can anyone recommend something very effective cuticle oil/cream which works well and preferably fast too? It would be awesome if it's possible to buy online since it's almost impossible to find good brands in Finland...  (tai jos joku osaa suositella jonkun suomalaisen merkin hyvää kynsinauhaöljyä niin sekin käy!)

St.Paddy's Nails

Long time no see! Last Sunday whole Ireland was literally green (well, it is green always anyway) because of St.Patrick's Day. Of course, I had theme nails!

I already thought that I was able to do it properly but no... Look what happened to my middle finger. No good. Otherwise I'm kind of happy with this. Well, it's not perfect yet, but at least this time there is no bubbles! Yeey, victory! I used Color Club's Shabby Drab and Rad Nomad.

By the way. I have question. Suddenly, I have A LOT of visitors from States... How did you find your way here?

Newbies

Or well, not so newbies anymore. I just realized that I haven't posted here my latest purchases, so here we go. From TKMaxx I bought Color Clubs Back to Boho Fall 2011 Collection, which includes next polishes (from left to right): Topcoat, Earthy Angel, New Bohemian, Shabby Drab, Rad Nomad, Nomadic in Nude and Red-Ical Gypsy.

Besides TKMaxx, I've spent way too much time in Penneys (or well, rest of the Europe knows it as Primark...) Anyway, from Penneys I've bought my first magnetic polish which either doesn't work very well or I can't use it... Whatever. I also bought Essence's Nail Art Express Dry Drops. I'm usually using Orly's Flash Dry Drops and I prefer it, because Essence is too oily and sticky.

As you can see, I have a glitter mania going on. I'm in love with glitter polishes. There something wrong with me because I still can't do proper glitter sandwich mani... Well, practice makes perfect... But yeah, from left to right: Mrs and Mr Glitter, Gold Fever and one from Claire's without name.

Stay tuned, swetches are coming!

And then... Finally... Without taking a stance on the whole conversation about caviar manicures, caviar manicure set from Penneys. Ehh... Well... What can I say... I tried it once and after 5 minutes, half of my mani was gone...
